Your Partner From the First Breath.

From tiny toes to first steps, choosing a pediatrician is one of the most important decisions you’ll make for your baby. We are here to make the process simple, comforting, and supportive.

Choosing Your Child’s Primary Care Provider

Setting up care for your newborn should be stress-free. We guide new parents through every step, ensuring you feel confident before your baby even arrives. Our focus is on continuity of care, meaning we try our best to have your child seen by the same provider each time, so we truly get to know your growing family.

Complimentary “Meet the Doctor” Visit

Finding the right fit matters. We invite all expecting parents to a complimentary prenatal Meet & Greet. Visit our Irvine or Ladera Ranch office, tour the clinic, and sit down with our providers. It’s a no-pressure opportunity to ask questions about our philosophy, office hours, and pediatric care approach.

The First Few Days – Hospital Visits & Beyond

When your baby is born, simply inform the hospital staff that your pediatrician is with OC Children’s Medical Group.

  • In the Hospital: The hospital’s staff pediatricians will examine your baby shortly after birth and handle the initial discharge.
  • Your First Office Visit: We typically see your newborn in our office 1 to 3 days after hospital discharge. During this visit, we’ll check weight, feeding progress, and answer any of those newborn questions you might have.

The First Year Schedule & Milestones

  • Newborn (1-3 days after discharge): Weight check and feeding evaluation.
  • 2 Weeks & 1 Month: Early development and maternal well-being check-ins.
  • 2, 4, & 6 Months: Growth tracking, rolling/sitting milestones, and introduction to solid foods.
  • 9 & 12 Months: Crawling, standing, early words, and transitioning to toddlerhood.
